Rapid Growth in North Texas Leads to Added Lanes on I-20

Spurred by fast growth in northern Texas, crews are adding frontage lanes to I-20 in Grand Prairie, Texas. The new lanes will be wider frontage roads. Cost of the project is set at $54 million. The project includes construction of new frontage roads and ramps, reconstruction and reconfiguration of the intersections at Robinson Road and Carrier Parkway, reconstruction and reconfiguration of a section of Westchase Drive south of I-20, construction of U-turns at Carrier Parkway and Belt Line Road and construction of sidewalks along I-20 frontage roads and a section of Robinson Road and Carrier Parkway....
