Construction Employment Increases in 39 States, D.C. From August 2018 to 2019

Thirty-nine states added construction jobs between August 2018 and August 2019, while construction employment increased in 29 states from July to August, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data released Sept. 20. Association officials said that construction workforce shortages identified in a survey the association released in August may have kept more states from adding construction jobs this past month....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
