Port of New Orleans Progressing on Plans for $1.5B Container Facility

The Port of New Orleans (NOLA) recently approved a contract for program management/program controls services for the development of its hoped-for $1.5 billion Louisiana International Terminal (LIT) container facility in St. Bernard Parish. Port NOLA's board of commissioners unanimously approved a deal with HDR Engineering Inc., a global engineering and consulting firm based in Omaha, Neb., as part of the multi-year due diligence and permitting process for the new LIT facility....
