A new affordable housing project in Brooklyn's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood has begun construction, one of several to break ground this summer in New York City's outer boroughs. Each are part of a public-private collaboration between the city and for-profit developers. New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
