UAMPS Receives Federal Funds for NuScale Reactor Construction

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has approved a $1.355 billion cost-share award, allocated over 10 years to a new special purpose entity named the Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP), wholly owned by Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (UAMPS). The award is for the development and construction of a 720MWe NuScale power plant to be located at DOE's National Laboratory site, and will serve as a funding vehicle to advance the CFPP as funds are appropriated by Congress, UAMPS said....

New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
