Rhode Island Begins $265M Project to Replace Providence Viaduct

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) marked the start of construction on the much anticipated $265 million Providence Viaduct Northbound Project on Aug. 18 with a ceremonial first dig. The 1,295-ft.-long northbound Providence Viaduct carries Interstate 95 over local roads, highway ramps, Amtrak's Northeast Corridor and the Woonsaquatucket River....
