Pittsburgh, Pa.-Area SPC Awards Grants to Fund 16 Transportation Projects

The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) has awarded nearly $9 million in grants that will serve as the final piece of funding for 16 transportation projects worth more than $110 million across the 10-county region. Some of the money is for planning or feasibility studies, but the bulk of it will allow projects to begin construction, the commission said....

New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
