Long-Awaited N.J. Portal Bridge Project Moves to Engineering Phase

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) announced June 19 that the Portal North Bridge replacement — a key component of the broader Gateway Project that includes building a new trans-Hudson rail tunnel — has officially moved forward into the engineering phase of the program. New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
