Ammons and Blackmon Progressing on SR 181 Widening

Crews from Ammons and Blackmon Construction LLC began work on the Alabama Department of Transportation's (ALDOT) $19.9 million contract to widen 3.9 mi. of the north-south State Route 181 in August 2018 and are looking to complete the project in the spring of 2021. State officials saw a need to widen the 16-mi.-long stretch of SR 181 nearly 15 years ago due to the growing area and increased traffic that comes with development....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
