UDOT Begins $34M Strawberry Valley Passing Lane Project

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) began construction work to improve safety and mobility on U.S. 40 between Daniels Summit and Soldier Creek. Intermittent work zones will operate throughout 17 mi. of U.S. 40 on the west side of Strawberry Reservoir. Project improvements include the following: Rebuild pavement surface to improve smoothness and extend life of the roadway; widen roadway for westbound passing lane, wider shoulders and center turn lane at specific intersections to improve safety and mobility; and construct wildlife under-crossing and deer fencing....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
