Caltrans wasted no time getting to work on a state road extensively damaged in the July 6 evening earthquake. The 7.1 magnitude earthquake in eastern California left three sections of SR 178 buckled and cracked. New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
