CARLSBAD, N.M. (AP) Traffic is surging in the railroad industry in southeast New Mexico due to the oil boom in the state and West Texas. The number of rail cars traveling through the Carlsbad area almost tripled during the region's recent oil boom as extraction continued to grow in Permian Basin, the Carlsbad Current-Argus reported....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
