Milestones: MDOT SHA Begins to Set Steel Beams at I-270/Watkins Mill Road

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is setting structural support beams at the I-270/Watkins Mill Road interchange project in Gaithersburg. The steel beam installation work began Feb. 3 and will be complete by the beginning of March. To perform this phase of the $84 million project, motorists will encounter nighttime single, double and triple lane closures, as well as brief, 20-minute total stoppages....

New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
