San Francisco's new Transbay Transit Center was shut down Sept. 25 after the discovery of a cracked steel beam. Workers found the issue while they were installing ceiling panels on a bus platform located on the facility's third floor, and became worried that the beam could fail, the San Francisco Chronicle reported....

New York's MTA To Repair Train Tunnel Hit by Hurricane Sandy

In August, New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) will begin rehabilitation work on the Rutgers Tube New York City Transit subway tunnel that allows the F Line to run under the East River between Brooklyn and Manhattan.
