VTrans Project Replaces Century-Old Rail Spans With Tunnel in Middlebury

In an effort to permanently replace two aging rail bridges with a tunnel, the Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is working with the town of Middlebury on a complex project that will take years to complete at an estimated cost of $71 million.
