Construction News – State Governor Calls for Tax Increase to Fund Road Projects


Colorado governor John Hickenlooper has asked for a tax increase to help cover the annual $1 billion shortage in road construction and maintenance funding. According to Hickenlooper, neglecting to maintain Colorado's infrastructure will eventually lead to a slowdown in the economic growth it has been seeing, ABC 13 reported….

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
