Virginia Hotel Demolished to Clear Land for New Development

A Holiday Inn in Arlington, Va., was demolished Dec. 13 to clear the land for a new mixed-use development. Several streets in the area were closed for much of the morning following the implosion of the building, located at 1900 Fort Myer Drive in northern Virginia. NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
