Ideas presented recently for what to do with the two old bridges connecting the towns of Brattleboro, Vt., and Hinsdale, N.H., all started with acknowledging the Connecticut River, the wildlife and the historical uses of the island between the two. Ground is Broken on New Fisher Hill Elementary School in Orange, Mass.

Several shovelfuls of dirt on Oct. 15 got construction of the new Fisher Hill Elementary School under way in Orange, Mass.
