Building Starts on $90M Critical Care Tower in Gastonia, N.C.

Construction has begun on a critical-care tower at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, N.C., west of Charlotte. The 146,000-sq. ft. tower will have four floors, each with 26 private intensive-care rooms, centralized nursing stations and administrative workspace. Three floors will be available for immediate use, while the fourth one can be used for future projects....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
