Work has begun on the $39 million Phase II of the New Creek Bluebelt on Staten Island, N.Y. The project is for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and is being done by the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC). It is located in the Dongan Hills and Grant City neighborhoods, where roadways are often prone to flooding during heavy rainstorms....

NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
