Amazon Fulfillment Center Rises Near Birmingham

A $325 million fulfillment center being built by Amazon will have a dramatic impact on the city of Bessemer, Ala., when it opens in 2019. The online retail giant is constructing the 855,000-sq.-ft. building just outside of Birmingham, providing new opportunities to the community. NY Public Library to See $317M Renovation

The main branch of the New York Public Library will undergo extensive renovations to the tune of $317 million after receiving approval from its board of trustees Nov. 15. Dutch architecture firm Mecanoo and New York firm Beyer Blinder Belle developed the plan, Curbed reported.
