N.Y. Power Authority OKs Key Rebuild of Transmission Artery

The New York Power Authority Board of Trustees approved, at its Oct. 2 meeting, $124 million for the initial permitting, engineering, design and procurement of new steel poles and foundations for the planned rebuild of the Power Authority's major North-South power transmission line. When completed, the Moses-Adirondack Smart Path Reliability Project will further strengthen the reliability of New York state's electric power grid and allow more upstate renewable energy to connect to the power system throughout the state....
