R.I. Receives More Funding for Road Improvements

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) Rhode Island is getting nearly $26 million in additional federal funding for road maintenance and safety projects. U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse announced the Federal Highway Administration funding. The Rhode Island Democrats said the administration's annual August redistribution means the state Department of Transportation will have access to money not spent by other states to move forward with road improvement projects that are ready to start now....
